Stainless steel isn’t just about durability — it also allows for the creation of visually appealing products, such as tanks and industrial equipment.
One of the defining features of stainless steel is its ability to maintain a clean, polished look, even when used in tough, dirty industrial environments. Because of this, high standards for cleanliness and workmanship are expected when working with this material — and at Duna Steel Tech, we take these standards seriously. Whether we’re building a simple machine part, a polished wine tank for a showcase cellar, or specialized equipment for the chemical industry, attention to detail is non-negotiable.
Our CEO, Péter Hunya, was a guest on the Ipari Expo podcast, which features Hungarian industrial entrepreneurs and company leaders. During the podcast, he shared the foundation of Duna Steel Tech and the lessons learned over the past decade..
Why manufacturing in a workshop is better than on-site improvisation
The podcast also discussed how, for larger steel products requiring on-site assembly, such as wine fermentation tanks or industrial piping systems, we used to perform only preparatory work at our facility. Each project is unique, according to the site’s specific conditions and the client’s requirements.
However, on-site manufacturing proved to be inefficient in practice. Although our technicians could solve issues as they arose, the lack of workshop conditions meant higher time and cost requirements for customized solutions.
Today, we take a different approach: after a thorough site assessment, we create precise production plans and manufacture the final product in our clean, well-equipped workshop. This is especially important when working with stainless, acid-resistant, or specialty steels, as it minimizes contamination risks and significantly improves material usage, quality assurance, and time management.
