We manufactured a slaughterhouse blood tank for Vatner Tech Ltd.
We carried out the design and fabrication of a single-wall slaughterhouse blood tank equipped with a special hose connection for Vatner Tech Ltd., drawing on more than 10 years of experience in the manufacturing of food-grade silos.
The customer provided the main dimensions and the required material grade of the tank. Based on this, we prepared the detailed design documentation for the tank, which has a diameter of 1,850 mm, a height of 3,000 mm, and a capacity of 8 m³.
At the customer’s request, the tank was manufactured from EN 1.4301 (AISI 304) stainless steel. Since the blood stored in the tank also contains salt, we had the suitability of this material grade verified by a specialist engineer as well. Based on this review, it was confirmed that the salt content of the blood is low, so this material grade was sufficient.
Custom hose connection
During fabrication, we used 3 mm thick 2B cold-rolled stainless steel sheet for the shell, while the top and bottom cones were formed from plate material. The tank was manufactured in two halves, which were then welded together to create the final structure.
Installing the special hose connection was a particular challenge. This component had to be sourced separately, and we designed a custom nozzle for it. The exact position of the connection was coordinated with the customer several times to ensure practical use and easy handling of the tank.
At the customer’s request, the tank was handed over at our site, while transport and commissioning were carried out by the customer.

Special challenge
The tank had to be fitted with a special connection, the positioning of which was coordinated with the customer several times.
Our solution
We prepared the detailed design documentation for the tank and had the material grade selected by the customer reviewed and approved by a specialist. We also helped determine the best possible position for the special connection. After the plans were approved, we sourced the special fitting, manufactured the tank, and handed over the completed unit.
