We completed the replacement of the aging piping network within one week
At the world-class plant of Hankook Magyarország Ltd. in Rácalmás, 19 million tyres roll off the production line each year.
The plant began operations in June 2007 and has been continuously developing and expanding ever since. The company currently employs around 3,300 people and manufactures tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles.
We also had the opportunity to contribute to the plant’s development through the replacement of the TCU unit in the Calender plant.
The task
Replacement of the TCU (Temperature Control Unit) in the Calender plant and the installation of the required stainless steel pipe sections.
Special challenge
The work had to be completed within a short deadline during the plant’s winter shutdown, within the one-week time window available.
Our solution
The scope of work included the dismantling and removal of the old TCU unit and the connected pipe sections, the installation and piping of the new unit, and the insulation of the pipes. All works were completed on time, allowing the machine to start up together with the plant on the morning shift of 1 January.
